When they thought everything is going to be hunky dory and it's just about achievements.
It was about the survival and holding on!

Let's embrace Failures as they make you the hardest and the unbeatable fighters.

Deva Anand Sir.

At this moment, I don't have any words to express how it felt to go through this man's interview.
I am a Millenial, I never saw any of Deva Anand Sir's movie. So, I don't connect with him or recognise him as I know other stars.
But, he gave this Interview when he was 80 and all things he mentioned makes life so much meaningful to me.

Life changed a bit for me :)

Me zindagi ka sath nibhata chala gaya,
Har fikr ko dhuye me udata chala gaya.
Jo mil gaya usi ko muqaddar samajh liya, Jo kho gaya me usko bhulata chala gaya.

The power of Gratitude.

Someone told me a fact, which says -
Our brains are designed to mourn over losses more than they celebrate over victory. That is why losses affect us more, make us feel more belittled than successes and good events make us feel uplifted.
And so we usually think how everything bad has happened. But, the truth is life has been fair!

Be grateful for amazing things you are surrounded with.
Be grateful, how good events just happened to you. C'mon you have many of them.

I can quote Balaji Vishwanathan here,
"
We are here as a life form through an amazing stroke of luck. And we became humans by an even bigger source of luck. And our ancestors survived ice age and near extinction with luck. We perfected agriculture on the back of a lucky break in global climate. And we were lucky to born into privilege allowing us to read this post without worrying about bombing above or landmines below.
As Newton put it, everything we see is by standing on the shoulder of giants - who built the language, logic, writing systems, laws and structures needed for us to learn in the way we do now.
Rather than being arrogant of what we accomplished, we should surrender ourselves to the sheer wonder of the Universe. Rather than being closed to new ideas, we should gawk at the sheer wonder of the Universe and keep our eyes and ears open."

Once you know, you are the luckiest and most privileged in many ways, rather than being grateful if you feel devastated for that one thing which didn't go your way, you are doing something wrong.

I am grateful for everything in my life :)
I completely believe in the power of the Universe. If something didn't happen my way, it's okay! I'll wait as I know the Universe has best plans for me and my plan didn't impress the Universe much :P

Critics, This is for you.

I am someone who deliberately chooses to not say anything to the critics as criticism is not at all new to me. The best way to deal with criticism is to keep doing your work and let your work say everything!

But, again that takes time.
I was going through this answer of Balaji Vishwanathan on quora, where he has covered exact points that all the lovely critics need to know and understand!

I highly recommend this answer to everyone,

Meet my ladies.

Sometimes you come across some people and you go totally "WOW". For me beauty really never mattered and I am in no way saying this to sound politically correct, I find every human being absolutely and stunningly beautiful, I mean literally believe me or not.

It's the personality, courage, attitude that makes a person for me to be more interesting. And today I'll tell you my list of these amazing ladies. (In order of the time they entered my life)
I'll not tell what everybody already know about them. See them through my eyes.

1. Sushmita Sen.

This lady is diva in a true and natural sense. Have you ever seen her eyes when she talks ? For her "genuine" is the word. Outstanding confidence, dignified, strong, opinionated, full of love.

2. Gauhar Khan.
Confidence, Self belief, she carries herself really well.

3. Sanjukta Parashar.
IPS Officer from Assam.
Confidence, daring, actually I am short of adjectives for her. It's better to read this once and you'll know why I said so.

4. Soumya Sambasivan
IPS Officer - Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh.
One of the most soft-spoken people I know. At the same time on-duty courageous officer who cracked down many cases in just few days. See a brief of her work in her interview.

A letter to my duffer Brother.

Dear Dushant,

I have this very clear memory of little me sitting in front of God for days and nights asking for only one thing - "Please give me a little brother", I don't clearly remember why I asked so, maybe I didn't have anyone to play with. And you were born. So, technically your birth is an answer to my prayers and thus you are HIS gift to me.
I know sometimes I completely ignore you, don't give you much time and go with a dry conversation. It's all my mood. And I go on doing this because I know you'll understand me and you do!
We are more of friends and share almost everything but I choose to behave responsibly when I am around you because I can see many things from childhood you have directly adopted from me and it's my responsibility as an elder sibling to make sure whatever you get from me is the best.
I'll be always standing by your side no matter what.
If you do something good, I'll be applauding you and if you do something wrong, I'll be the first one to slap you. Hope you remember that slap :P
My advice for you would be - Don't change, your version of living life is awesome. Be a strong person, don't ever give up!
You are more closer to our parents than I am and it's a good relief for me. I am very sure you are going to have an AWESOME life :)
